- There is nothing good nor bad but thinking makes it so.
- My poor son! He is going mad!
- They think I don't know what he did! They believe me to be stupid. What kind of parents are they? I will show them.
- Hamlet has suspicions about his uncle killing his father and he is determined to catch him and make his mother believe him.
- LORD! forgive me! for I have commited the worst sin of all. I have murdered my own brother and the father of my nephew!
- *Listening and Plotting revenge*
- Gertrude is stunned about how her son is behaving and thinks he is going crazy for no reason.
- He killed father! I just listened to him confess. Now I will murder him.
- He really has gone mad. What did I turn him into.
- Hamlet doesn't care what he has to do to prove to his mother what has happened. There is nothing more important to a child than what their parents think about them.
- He is dead! and I will be too... but I now will be with my father!
- I have failed as a parent. I was supposed to listen to him and trust him and be his rock. I have done none and now I will have lost everyone I love.
- Hamlet spies on his Uncle Claudius and hears him confess to his murder confirming his suspicions. He plans to murder him to prove his love to his mother and father.
- He informs his mother Gertrude of this, but she still thinks he is crazy. Hamlet knows what he has to do to show her.
- Hamlet and Claudius fight to the death. Hamlet has a cut full of poison on his arm so he knows he will die. As Claudius lay on the floor dying he admits to the murder of Hamlets father in front of Gertrude. Gertrude realizes her role as a parent and how she should've done better because now she will never have that chance again.
