- When we got there we all thought that they would welcome us and want to trade but while we where panning for gold they attacked us. We tried to attack back but while we where reloading our guns they kept shooting their arrows. So we retreated and looked to build a safe place to hide from the natives. For some time we heard them in the forest but they never attacked. While we where locked in there we never left and just burried our dead there too. So our life continued and we thought we where safe.
- ITS RAINING🌧
- When we first left englend we thought it would take just a few months but it lasted a little longer then we thought. Since it lasted a little longer we started to run out of food. In 1585 is when we finally arivved to the verginia coast. We where camped along the James river. The first thing we did when we got there was search for gold. We just didnt realize who was watching us.
- The hardships that all most ended us was when the winter fell. We started running out of food and clean water. Evetually they sent a ship with food to us but they also brought disseases with them on the boat. We started droping like flies but they would always just replace the dead people with new ones. I saw my friends go and die I was left alone. We needed to go and get out so we set up a meeting with the natives chief.
- A while later others arrived and figured out how to grow tobacco. We started shiping it back to England and began getting rich. We started to afford to ship more food over. We also where able to do better trading with the Native Americans. We started thriving and we were saved! It had been three years and finaly we where at a good place.
- So they sent a group to meet with the native americans. They agreed to trade food for jewels John Smith had. So now we had a source of food for a while and we started to get better till we ran out of fresh water. More poeple started dieing from salt water poisining. Then Pocahontas met John Rolf. Everything got better after they got married. This was not before we figured out how to survive better and make money at the same time.
- We came all the way over here just to not find gold! All of the people where really mad because we couldnet find any. The verginia company was the only reason that we came here in the first place.
