- Rainsford is caught by Zaroff and is chased to the edge of the island. So Rainsford jumped off the island into the water and Zaroff thought he died.
- Climax, Falling Action, and Resolution
- Climax: Rainsford lived and climbed through Zaroff's window and he was suprised to see him. Rainsford was not happy and the General challenged him to a duel. Rainsford won and slept in his bed.
