- Mercutio steps in and fights Tybalt instead of Romeo. Benvolio is trying to diffuse the situation because of the penalty for dying.
- ON GUARD!
- ON GUARD!
- Men stop fighting!
- While Romeo stands in the middle trying to stop the fight, Tybalt stabs Mercutio by sticking his sword under Romeo's arm.
- HAH! I WIN!
- It can't hurt that bad
- Ask for me tomorrow, and you shall find me a grave man!
- What, art thou hurt?

- After Benvolio takes Mercutio to a house to be treated, he returns to tell Romeo that Mercutio died.
- Mercutio's dead!
- WHAT! Tybalt shall pay for this.
- After Romeo kills Tybalt, Benvolio tells Romeo he has to leave or he will be killed on the spot.
- I'm a fool!
- You have to leave!
- Benvolio tells the prince what happened and the Capulets want Romeo dead for the consequence of him killing Tybalt.
- WHAT HAPPENED?
- Romeo shall pay!
- He killed my cousin!
- I know what happened.
- The prince tells that Romeo's consequence is banishment and if he shall be seen again he will be killed
- ROMEO IS BANISHED!
- COUSIN! COUSIN!
