- Hello everyone we are part of a group called the Progressives. We united together for a common reason: to tear down the unfair power political figures hold and also to tear down the unfair power business partners hold.
- Interviewer: "Who are you guys? Please introduce yourselves."

- Our group consists of union members, farmers, settlement house workers, and muckrackers. Union workers and farmers in particular have joined this group because they have faced problems in their jobs due to overpowered business affiliations

- While us union members have faced low wages, long work hours, and safety concerns. When we would take action in the forms of unions, we would sometimes also lose our jobs or get physically harmed by superiors.
- Us farmers have faced problems out of our control. Problems such as market forces setting low prices for our crops and not having much of a representation in congress.

- Interviewer: "Why did the progressive movement begin?"

- The right for women to vote was in the 19th amendment, worker compensation for injury/death became part of the "Workmen's Compensation Laws", limited working hours for children were written in the Child Labor Laws, monopolies were broken up with the Clayton Anti-trust Act, and the 1911 legislature helped enforcement of regulation of factory safety.
- Some objectives we have achieved from the movement were women's suffrage, worker compensation for injury/death, limited working hours for children, breaking up monopolies, and regulation of factory safety.
