- David was made fun of everyday by the guards. They made fun of his culture and beliefs. They kick and punch him for being Jewish.
- David what tired of getting pushed around and bullied. He was thinking of escape but was waiting till night fall. But he wasn't going to say anything.

- David took his opportunity to escape. There was a guard right on his tail but he wasn't going to let up.

- The guard caught up to David. He is furious that he tried to escape this camp.
