- In this scene, Romeo has followed Juliet from the party and is under her balcony. They both confess their love for each other, and they decide that they want to marry in secret. Juliet expresses how mad she is because of the hatred between their families. They promise each other that they will make their love work despite the problem. This scene solidifies their bond and love for each other.

- How can you be sure? Weren't you heartbroken about Rosaline just as of yesterday? If your serious, I'll help you. Maybe this marriage can bring peace between your families. I can help.
- Friar Lawrence, I need your help too get me and Juliet married today. It seems fast but I truly love Juliet.
- In this scene, Romeo goes to see Friar Lawerence, a priest who can get Romeo and Juliet married. Friar Lawerence is shocked at first because he didn't know Romeo was over Rosaline because of how heartbroken he was.He agrees because he believes this marriage can stop the feud between Montagues and Capulets. He also agrees to get them married swiftly and in secret.

- In this scene, Romeo and Juliet get married in secret by Friar Lawerence. Romeo and Juliet commit to each other without their families knowing.
