- Variation:There are two different color variations of the same bird species. The green birds are better adapted to their environment than the grey birds.

- Selective Forces:Because the grey bird does not blend into the green brush like the green birds do, it is more susceptible to predators.

- Overproduction: The green birds will continue to reproduce causing overproduction of birds. Only the birds with the best traits will survive long enough to pass down those traits.

- Differential Reproduction: Because of the predators, the grey birds are not able to pass on the grey fur color gene making green birds more common.

- Adaptive Change: The population of birds consists of only green colored birds. The green colored birds were not sought after like the grey colored birds were.

- Conclusion: Because of adaptive change, the green birds are the only color of birds left. They will now pass on their genes to their offspring, making sure that their offspring will live because of the color of their feathers.
