- Scene 5, Act 1

- Feste and Fabian enter with a letter from Malvolio, Feste reads it aloud. Malvolio explains that the letters which appeared to be written by Olivia will prove he is not truly crazy.
- Fabian enters along with Malvolio who hands his letters to Olivia who recognizes Marias handwriting. Fabian explains the trick and Malvolio leaves angrily and claims he will get his revenge.
- The Duke claims Violas hand in marriage and Feste sings one last song.
