- In this part of 'Hunger Games,' by Suzanne Collins, Effie Trinket picks a paper out of the jar and announces that Primrose Everdeen has been chosen for the Hunger Games. Though, Katniss Everdeen (Primrose's sister, does not want this for her so she takes her place from Primrose.

- After both tributes arrive at the capital (Peeta Mellark and Katniss Everdeen) there is a tribute parade that introduces all the tributes. Peeta and Katniss have the crowd full of gasps. Katniss and Peeta were the most memorable

- Katniss, the girl who was on fire
- There must be some special girl. Come on, what’s her name?”

- Well, there is this one girl. I’ve had a crush on her ever since I can remember. I’m pretty sure she didn’t know I existed until the Reaping.”
- In this part,(of the interview where thousands are watching Caeser Flickman, had asked Peeta if he had a special girl, to which Peeta replies that he does. After Peeta admits this, Caeser says that if he wins the hunger games, she will want him, but Peeta says that won't be possible because it's Katniss This shocks the crowd and Katniss is of course surprised. She is shocked. This gains sympathy from many people since in the end, both will either die, or one will win.
