- Hi! Recently I have been reading about Jesus Christ and I believe I am ready to become a Christian. How can I do so?
- Baptism is one of the 7 Holy Sacraments and it offers you new life by cleansing you from original sin and declares you to be a follower of Christ
- Great question! In fact, there are a couple of symbols and rituals!
- Firstly, water which represents purification and washing away of sin. Secondly, oil which is used to anoint the person. Thirdly, a lit candle to remind us the light of Christ has entered the person.
- No worries! People usually get baptized at a young age because many parents want to set a foundation of faith for their child which can support their relationship with God overtime.
- Not to mention it provides them with spiritual cleansing and also commits themselves to God so that their faith is an everyday aspect of their lives starting from when they are young to increase their relationship with God day by day.
