- 509 BCE: The patricians threw the last Etruscan king out of power. Now they are making a republic government, but we plebeians aren't allowed to participate in government, or even vote! We have to do something about this. This isn't fair at all, we should be able to participate in government too.
- 494 BCE: We fought for our rights and formed a rivalry with the patricians. When we didn't gain any power, we then all marched out of the town and stayed on a hill refusing to come back until we get power and rights. The farm and city came to a stop and the patricians feared the army would be helpless. They knew they had to compromise with us. We finally succeeded. Yay!
- 451 BCE: Me and the other plebeians told the patricians what needed to happen for us to stay. We told them we needed the laws to be written down so they cant be changed as easily. The patricians agreed and did it. Now we are in peace, and we gained more power!
- 367 BCE: We all decided to make a new rule to give us more power. Now at least one of the consuls has to be plebeian. We are gaining a lot of power since the fighting is over. We can also vote now. Everything is a lot better.
- 287 BCE: We finally gained the right to pass laws. We can approve and reject laws and the rules apply to everyone in Rome. We had assemblies where we nominate people for governmental positions. The amount of plebeians in the senate keeps increasing. I hope life stays like this, it's great.
