Alright, I got this, I have to pass in order to fulfill my legacy!
And then the time came for my final exam... I needed to make sure that I would hunt out all of the animals so I could pass.
It is time, you must hunt down 3 antelopes out in the open to pass!
One more....c'mon I got it, even though it's going to be hard I can finish it off
At the start, it was pretty easy. I was able to capture 2 antelopes but the nerves started getting to me. I started sweating down my mane, in fear of proving my parents wrong. I took a second to think.
Now I felt happier than ever, ignoring the comments of the other lions. I knew I was different, and I embraced my diversity and didn't put unreal expectations on myself.
Man, everything is going so good today!
...
I stood there in disgust. And then my instructor lion came up to me. I was baffled and surprised, denying everything in front of me. I didn't know how to approach the fact I was about to get told.
...Well, you somehow failed
Weeks on weeks after that, I pondered over my life. I had failed to live up my legacy and I failed. What do I do now?
But what I finally realized is this one key lesson: I should leave my failures in the past and not let it define me. I also shouldn't let my legacy define me and I should pursue my own path, not one with adversity.
