- Mock the strength of other men, because no man born from a woman will ever harm Macbeth
- The first apparition takes the form of a head wearing a helmet. The second takes the form of a bloody child. The last apparition takes the form of a child wearing a crown and holding a tree.
- A murderer, who was sent by Macbeth, bursts into Macduff's castle and kills Macduff's son. Lady Macduff runs away; however, the murderer caught up and killed her.

- MURDER!!!
- Ross hesitantly tells Macduff the news that his wife and children have been murdered, leaving Macduff filled with grief and rage. Now Macduff is going to avenge them by killing Macbeth.
