- Between 1850 and 1891, the concentration policies against native Americans required that tribes relocate to different areas. Many times, this new location was much smaller and reserved. These relocations disrupted Native American communities.

- The best way to disrupt the Native Americans is to take away the buffalo.
- Native Americans relied on buffalo for almost every part of daily life. The Americans decimated millions of bufffalo which was a tragic devastation to native Americans who relied heavily on it. The government promoted this to to pressure the native people onto the Indian reservations during times of conflict by removing their main food source.

- Indian Wars
- The Indian Wars were a series of conflicts between Native American tribes and the United States government, spanning the 17th to late 19th centuries. These wars were driven by U.S. westward expansion, land disputes, broken treaties, and efforts to assimilate Native Americans into American culture. The conflicts resulted in significant loss of life, forced relocations like the Trail of Tears, and the eventual suppression of many Native tribes, deeply impacting their cultures and ways of life.
