- “Poor Ghost, can’t believe this boy keeps getting into trouble!” Ghost’s mom whispers while cleaning the dishes.
- Ghost’s mom has trust issues with people. So she is always alert and close to her car to preclude this from happening

- “But Jordan has six.” Coach yells while he held up both his hands.
- Ghost and Coach both are deciding who is the best basketball player. They are discordant with each other.

- Why are your clothes so baggy?” Questions Brandon and others laugh while pointing t him.
- “Why do they always look at me like I don’t belong?” Ghost whispers quietly, in his book.
- Ghost struggles with fitting in with society due to his appearance compared to others. This makes him sometimes have to wrangle with others who pick on him.
