- I had such a fun and positive experience with this class. I have learned a lot, and it was a very good refresher on key terms that I haven't learned since high school.

- My favorite and most educational chapter was Chapter 2's Engagement Activity 2. I learned so much from every video that was provided. I found it fascinating learning about the Mosuo tribe and their matriarchal society. Their female elders are so highly respected and are the decision makers for the family. I also liked learning about the wedding traditions in other cultures. My favorite fact was learning how some people in Mongolia still depend on the look of a baby chick's liver to help them decide if it's time to get married or not.

- A concept that I will take with me and use in the future is recognizing the difference between sex, gender, and the deep influence of one's culture. I want to make sure I don't assume or use a stereotype for a person/people. I also want to speak up when negative comments or stereotypes are used about others.
