Ashaina,is having a hard time determining what tool will going to use when the population variance is known and unknown.
She decided to ask his brother about it
im certain that he knowns about population variance ...hmmmm...i know engineers are good at math hehehehehe
What are you doing in my room?,what do you need ?how many time i told you that knock first before you enter my room you brat...
sorry i forgot hehehehe....i'm studying about our lesson which is the unknown and known population...
Oh...what about that
Hays do i have an option to say no,because i know if i say no you will tell mom then mom will scold me...
Your so smart my deaar handsome brother you got it!
Can you help me to determine the appropriate tool for this
Okay listen carefully because i will not repeat what im gonna explain im to tire to speak...
When the population is known you will going to use the z-test so you can determine whether the population is different. this is usually use for large sample size.
Okay got it ....but how about the unknown one?
If the population variance is unknown therefore you will going to use the t-test rather than the normal or z-test.
The t-test will tell you the significant between the two grouop. It let's you know if those difference could have happened by chance
