  • I want toimmigrate to Canada.
  • Hello! My name is Rebekah Tiong. I am seventeen years old. I am Chinese and I live in Hong Kong, with my mother. We live in a small home, with little on the table.
  • Many are attempting to move to Canada. Hong Kong's natural disasters are growing worse every time a new one takes a toll. The crops are poor and becoming more scarce every year.
  • There is a lack of opportunity in Hong Kong. The unemployment rates are high. I have moved from job to job, but I never stay for long. Sometimes I do not even receive a position!
  • But the main, and most important reason is my mother is very sick. I cannot receive the proper medicine for her in Hong Kong, but I can if I work hard in Canada.
  • The goal is to travel overseas toCanada. When that is accomplished, I must find a job and work with all my might. Finally, when I make enough money, I can buy some medicine for mother and somehow travel back to Hong Kong. Maybe, she can come here with assistance.
  • Enough about that, I should get some rest. Tomorrow, a new chapter begins. My whole life will be changed forever as soon as I take my first step on Canada's fine land. My first step...
