- All you have to do to find the unit rate is divide the denominator by itself, and then divide the numerator by the denominator.
- For example, since 2 cupcakes are $6, it is 6/2. Now, you simplify so that the denominator is one. Now you find the unit rate is $3/1 cupcake.
