- Excuse me Miss! I missed the Ted Talk and I wanted to learn about why life can't be sulfur based!

- I understand. It's like a friend group. If you are a friend that can fit in a lot of situations its better than a friend that's stubborn
- OK. Walk with me to the park and I'll explain to you. To start, sulfur has 6 valence electrons so it cant bond to as many elements as carbon can.
- I think sulfur is only good for cool explosions and sulfites if I'm being honest.
- Sulfur has the same electronegativity as carbon, but the valence electrons is what limits sulfur.
- Fair point you made back there. Which is semi accurate because carbon can make up to triple bonds while sulfur can make double with only two valence electrons "spots" left.
- That's why carbon can bond with almost anything. It has 4 valence electrons!
