- Early morning.Nya stands in a small kitchen, still in pajamas, one hand holding a coffee that’s gone cold. Her child’s backpack sits on the floor. Dinner from last night was accidentally left out. Nya’s face looks tired but focused.

- Later that day.Students talk over each other. A phone buzzes on a desk. Students aren't paying attention. Nya stands at the front with a stack of papers, trying to keep order. Her expression is controlled, but her eyes show exhaustion.
- "'Mornin, class. Pull out your pens. Pop quiz today.'" pg.11

- Teachers’ lounge.Nya and Dun sit across from each other at a small table. Papers are stacked messily in front of Nya. A single cigarette rests between her fingers, unlit. Her posture is tense, but Dun has a half-smile on his face, relaxed.
