- Candy's conflict with himself after allowing his dog to be shot by Carlson.

- Curley attacks Lennie, Lennie doesn't fight back because George told him not too, But George sees what is happening and tells Lennie to fight back. This leads to Lennie breaking curleys hand

- Not a physical fight, but Crooks and Lennie and accidentally said something that Lennie didn't like so Lennie got up and scared Crooks.

- Crooks is separated from the other men because he is African American. This displays how things were in that certain period of time, and the reason of his separation from the rest of the men .
