- Hi I´m an early hominin named Jerry. Me and my twin brother , Gary both have the same job which is building shelter.
- Hey, Iḿ Gary.
- This is my friend¨s cousin¨s sister . Her name is Sunshine. Jerry and I built this shelter for her by the way.
- This cave is what Jerry, Sunshine and I lived in at the beginning. We were struggling to keep warm and find food.
- Ever wonder what it was like when Hominis had to live with no shelter? Imagine not having a roof over anyoneś head or a place to store any food.
- Hey Jerry! Look at those upright standing guys and that tasty looking lion over yonder.
- The shelter builder brothers learned how to make houses with wood and axes. Unlike the early hominin days when they did not have a roof over their head, Jerry and Gary learned to build better shelter with a roof and walls.
- Gary, letś call them the neanderthal man.
- Jerry take a look at these types of Hominins! They seem pretty good at making tools such as weapons. Also take a look at how well they can control that fire in their shelter! Unreal!
- Early on, Jerry, Gary, and Sunshine were called hominin handy men and women. They were able to think about a tool that they wanted to make and they would make a plan on how to build it.
- Look how far we have come, Jerry! My back no longer hurts now that we are prehistoric people. We have the ability to hunt, gather and make better shelter.
- Jerry and Gary soon learned about other hominins called the upright man. Upright guys were able to run & walk with two feet. They were also the 1st hominins to migrate out of Africa. They also lived in caves.
- Jerry and Gary met and began learning how to build better shelters with hominins called the Neanderthal man. They were the first hominins to control fire.
- In the end, Jerry & Gary evolved into prehistoric people. They figured out how to gather, hunt, and bulid better shelters using mud as cement and bricks. They went from living outdoors, to caves, and now they live in permanent shelters!
