- It was a sunny day Friday morning in Port of Spain. People were hustling up and down Frederick Street anxious to reduce the contents of their pay packets. Beulah has come to town to collect Bertie's pension . She counted out 94 dollars and 40 cents.

- Now that I've just collected Bertie's pension, I must go get Bertie a small gift that would light up his eyes. Not with this money though.

- Bertie! Bertie! look at what I got for you. Don't ask any questions.
- Beulah I can't believe that you have done this nonsense again. You waiting to get caught and for the police to put their hands on you.

- Its another month end and Ms. Beulah is here at this large convenient store . A towering man with dark complexion, wearing dark glasses accidentally bumps into her just after she has stolen an item. She thinks that she has been caught by the store detective.

- Bertie's words reverberated throughout Beulah's head. She thought his prophecy had finally come through.
- Oh Lard! I can't believe that I almost got caught. Let me look for my home .

- The same man Beulah bumped into earlier had stolen her money. Beulah got a taste of her own medicine.
- Mam, that would be 6 dollars.
- Oh no! my purse is missing. Somebody stole my money!
