- I've been reading about Post-Modernism. It says there is no absolute truth. The idea of the existence of absolute truth is an illusion.
- But how can that be? My faith teaches that the belief in God is an absolute truth. It's unquestionable.

- That's just your perspective. With relativism, we may accept the belief that says God exists and God does not exist at the same time. Moral codes are determined personally by each individual.
- But that creates a serious logical problem! In logic, we cannot accept that a statement B and 'other than B' are both true, because this involves a contradiction. Relativism leads to a serious logical problem!

- I guess that is a logical issue. But the idea of absolute truth is just an illusion fabricated by some to influence others.
- And that's why religion rejects relativism. From a religious point of view, our belief is dogmatic. It cannot be changed or challenged, and its acceptance must be absolute. You can't have a faith if you constantly doubt its fundamental truth
- I see... if my belief system breaks the basic rules of logic, maybe it's not sound.
