- Brian woke up in the middle of the night and looked over his shoulder to see a huge bear near him. The Bear was once again looking for the food that Brian had hunted, the problem is that Brian was trapped between the body and the Bear. Then the bear struck Brian once more, this time with greater power. Fortunately, Betty the skunk came over and sprayed the Bear's eyes and the Bear began to growl.

- The bear began to bang its head against the ground and moved back and forth until it finally exited Brian's shelter, causing considerable damage. Betty the skunk lifted her tail to Brian, who then handed him a large chunk of meat, she lowered her tail, grabbed the meat and walked away from her.

- Brian sleeps with a smile on his face, as he could live another day thanks to Betty.The next morning, Brian repaired the damage the bear had done to the shelter, which fortunately was not as severe as Brian had thought.

- The rain returns, and the temperature drops even further, but Brian remains warm and dry inside his shelter this time. Brian's deer meat supply is running out, and he knows he'll have to go hunting again soon. Brian keeps himself occupied while it rains, ready for more colder weather. He builds sleeves for his poncho and a pair of loafers to wear with his tennis shoes out of deerskin.He learns to soften the skin by working it on a piece of wood while he works.
- Brian is almost blinded by the sight of the dazzling snow-covered forest when it stops pouring and he leaves the shelter in the morning. Brian is taken aback by his beauty; he outshines any image of snow-covered forests he has ever seen.
- In his new tennis, he walks into the white world, where he discovers that hunting will be easier because all animals make footprints in the snow. Brian decides to go big game hunting because he feels wonderful in the snow in his new winter gear.
