- My understanding of different schools of thought will support me as an Early Childhood Educator because it gives me a strong foundation for understanding why children behave, learn, and develop the way they do. Each theory provides a different lens for observing and supporting children. For example, Piaget helps me recognize when children are ready for certain skills, while Vygotsky guides me in offering the right level of support and encouraging cooperative learning. Approaches like Reggio Emilia remind me to respect children as capable learners and to use the environment as a teaching tool.

- My understanding of ECE Field Placement Student Roles and Responsibilities and the Codes of Ethics will support me as an Early Childhood Educator by guiding my professional behaviour and decision-making. Knowing these expectations helps me prioritize the well-being, safety, and interests of children while building respectful and trusting relationships with families and colleagues. The Codes of Ethics teach me to value diversity, act with honesty, which strengthens my ability to create an inclusive and ethical learning environment. Understanding the Standards of Practice also prepares me to maintain professionalism, follow safe and developmentally appropriate practices, and advocate for the rights and needs of children.
