  • I use reflection and reflexivity. They sound similar, but they’re not.
  • So how do you deal with all these subjectivities in your research?
  • Reflection is looking back—like reviewing what happened in an interview and what I learned.
  • Reflexivity is deeper. It’s examining how I shaped the research: my assumptions, my biases, my power, my blind spots.
  • So I journal, I check my assumptions, I talk with peers, and I revisit my positionality throughout the study. That’s how I stay reflexive.
