- The book contains a series of letters that autistic people have written to their parents to raise awareness on how to avoid common mistakes and overcome challenges while raising their autistic child.
- That sounds great! It seems like this book is to help parents make their child feel valued and accepted for who they really are.

- You are exactly right! Every letter in this book comes directly from different autistic people and their personal experiences growing up. If their parents truly understood them and their challenges, their lives would have been so different.

- Yes! In a letter written by Brigid Rankowski she said, " My father tried to raise me to blend into the sea of normalcy. He said he wanted me to "fit in," but what he really wanted was for me to not stand out" (Rankowski, 7).
- That seems to be the problem with parents of autistic children. They try to "normalize" their children by having them do things they are not comfortable with just to "fit in." But they are really more afraid of them standing out. I agree that this is a good quote!
