  • "The Tell Tale Heart" By: Edgar Allen Poe Mashal Burney Ms. Singh/Pd. 6 11/17/17
  • "Please, NO!"
  • "I'm sorry, but this is for the best. Hahaha"
  • Setting: The old man's house Situation/climate: Dark, suspenseful, eerie Characters: The narrator, the police, the old man
  • "We could only imagine how you must feel.."
  • "I loved that old man. I truly did. I can't believe this has happened" 
  • The narrator developed a hatred for the old man's eye, and every night he would spy on him.
  • The narrator had enough of the eye. and suffocated the old man with the sheets to death. he then proceeded to cut the man's limbs off and stuff him under the floor board.
  • A neighbor was suspicious, and called the police. Minutes later, the police arrived at the door. The narrator invited them inside the room.
  • The narrator kept hearing a heartbeat, and it eventually drove him crazy to the point of confessing.
  • "I admit the deed! Tear up the planks! here, here. it is the beating of his hideous heart!
