- That’s right and did you know that we will appreciate more the beauty of it as we relate it to science?

- The firecracker is composed of chemicals and it is a form of chemical energy. Once it reach the sky, it will become sound energy in the sky.
- Well, that is called the first Law of thermodynamics which says that energy can only be converted from one form of energy to another, and cannot be created or destroyed
-  If you love math, you might enjoy this too since this topic also has equation. The equation form  of the firs law is ΔU = Q − W
- ΔU is referred to as the change in internal energy U of the system. Q is the net heat transferred into the system in which Q is the sum of all heat transfer into and out of the system. W is the net work done by the system and W is the sum of all work done on or by the system.
- That’s really cool. Give me more examples of the first law oF thermodynamics. I am really invested to it.
- Uhmmmm… The Sound system! The sound system is being plugged in electricity in order to operate. What do you think is the connection of this to the first law of thermodynamics?
-  Is it electrical energy into sound energy?
- That’s right. Okay, last one before I go. When you eat your favorite food, you get excited to work, right? What does this mean?
- Yes. The chemical energy inside my body converting into kinetic energy that’s why I get excited to do work. Am I right?
