- Hello I'm Toussaint and I'll be the one starting the war for freedom.
- Haiti is a part of an Island that is colonized by France. It was initially colonized by Spain but after many battles France signed a Treaty having Haiti as theirs and Saint Domingue as the Spanish's territory.

- Slavery was common in Haiti and it was a part of Mercantilism where the Slaves worked at a sugarcane plantation to supply St. Domingue which was the other half of the Island.

- Toussaint is the son of an enslaved man. Sooner or later he was freed in his 30s and became a property owner. This would be the man that started and led the revolution.
- Victory at Last
- I rule over Haiti and St Domingue now
- All the enslaved people rebelled back at the owners and was sick of being treated so terribly. After a while the enslaved people burned down the sugarcane plantations since it was the place they were all forced to work at.
- The rebels asked the French for freedom and since at the time the French Revolution just happened where all men are equal the idea was quite popular so they agreed and worked together. On the other hand St. Domingue was colonized by Spain and they made an alliance with the British.
- After a long time of fighting in 1798 the Rebels and the French defeated Spain and Britain. Later on the Constitution o 1801 was created and stated that there could not be any slaves in Haiti territory, All men in Haiti are born/die/free French. Each farmer and worker of a family has to share the profits that they made. He also made himself governor for the rest of his life.
