- this is our bedroom
- Hi my name is Avery and I am the girl next to the little boy.The little boy is my brother, Bennett.The woman that is next is my Ma, she is very sick and tired from cholera disease. She got cholera disease a few we took the land routes.Pa passed it to Ma.
- This is Ma and Pa's room and as you can see we don't have beds because we do not have enough money to buy them. So we sleep on the quilts that Ma sewed.
- This is our room and we live in the basement it is often cold but I am so thankful for our quilts an a roof over our heads.
- Since Ma is still sick Pa had to teach new words on the slate.
