First living beings to ride a hot air balloon (Packing For Mars For Kids)

On September 19 1783, the Montgolfier brothers conducted a hot air balloon experiment in Paris, France. A aheep, a duck, and a rooster would ride a hot air balloon for approximately eight minutes, covering two miles and reaching an altitude of 1,500 feet. At the time that was a great accomplishment.
