- A boy named Donovan Curtis went to a school called Hardcastle Middle. When Donovan and his 2 friends, both named Daniel, hit a huge statue, the ball came off and started rolling toward the gym. It completely destroyed it.
- When Donovan was caught by a teacher named Dr. Schultz, he was sent to the principal's office. The next day, Dr. Schultz was looking for Donovan, but he couldn't remember his name, so he couldn't find him.
- Congrats!
- When Donovan got home, his dad said he got a message. Donovan was really scared, because he knew what it would be about. They opened the letter, and it said that Donovan was promoted to a different school because he's so smart and gifted. Donovan knew that he was mistaken for another kid, but now he was able to hide from Dr. Schultz. His big sister, Katie, knew that something was wrong.
- At the school, he met Chloe Garfinkle, Abigail Lee, and Noah Youkilis. He joined them in the robotics team. They've been second place to the same team for 3 years straight, a school called Cold Spring Harbor. They were ready to beat them that year. Donovan was the best at driving the robot because of all his time on video games, so he was going to be driving for the contest.
- His new teacher was a man named Mr. Osborne. He also thought that something was wrong and that Donovan wasn't gifted, but he welcomed him to the robotics team.
- Eventually, Donovan was caught and had to go back to Hardcastle Middle, but his sister and his friends secretly took him out of school after Chloe told them what happened. They snuck out of school to go to the competition, and in the end, they finally beat Cold Spring Harbor.
