- When we get to the dentist's office, we will have to sit in the waiting room.

- Hi there, I am Mitch.
- Hello, I am Maya.
- When my name is called, I go into another room with a special chair. My mom may come in with me, or she may stay in the waiting room. I sit down and the dental hygienist and I say hello to each other.

- The dental hygienist cleans my teeth using really cool tools and a special brush.

- Sometimes the hygienist takes special pictures of my mouth and teeth. These are called x-rays.

- Then the dentist comes in and says hello. She counts my teeth, looks at the x-rays, and checks for cavities.

- When it is time to leave, my mom and I say thank you and goodbye, and I get to choose a small toy from the special basket.
