- Friendship is a major theme of The Outsiders so I'm going to show a few great moments that showed true friendship
- English Project
- A soc tried drowning Ponyboy and Johnny being a good friend ends up killing Bob to save Ponyboy. This shows that Johnny would kill for his friends.
- After the rumble Dally and Ponyboy go to see Johnny in the hospital but are stopped by a police officer because of speeding. Dally lies to the officer saying Ponyboy fell off his motorcyclearly so he was rushing him to the hospital, showing that dally would even lie to the law to see his friends.

- This scene here shows Ponyboy and Johnny running into the church after realizing that they had set the church on fire. They know the dangers of running into the building together but do it anyway to save the children showing strong bonds doing this.
- The Soc's and Greasers plan a full out brawl at midnight. I like how it represents the Greasers being kinda one big family and not letting anyone ruin it.
