- And why haven't we been able to put on a play?
- We haven't done anything in this class all year.
- The school board finds us more important than you.
- MATH
- SCIENCE
- The school puts all of its money into core classes so that students get better test scores.
- English
- When students get better scores in core classes, the state gives the school more money.
- ART
- What are we supposed to do? We don't have any supplies.
- How are our students supposed to be creative if we don't have anything that they can use?

- PRINCIPLE
- My hands are tied. We don't have any more money in the budget.
- CHOIR
- So you are saying that we are supposed to do nothing in our classes because we can't afford to buy music? Are we that unimportant?
- You have to figure out how to teach without spending money.
- But you also can't use any money to buy anything for your classes.
- GUITAR CLASS
- At this point we may as well just get rid of the music and art classes.
