- I wonder if I can I train a baby to fear things?
- Aim: To condition a baby to fear certain animals
- Yes!
- Can I use your child for an experiment ?
- Hmm… Albert seems to be just fine with this rat. We can use it as the neutral stimulus. What could be used to scare him?
- Method: Each time Albert touched the rat a loud noise was created which made Albert associate the prescene of the rat with the scary noise. 
- Woah! The noise which is the unconditioned stimulus scared Albert which is an unconditioned response to the noise
- Fascinating! Albert seems to fear the rat even without the presence of the loud noise. The rat is now the conditioned stimulus and crying is the conditioned response due to association. 
- Results: Even without the commotion of the noise Albert grew a fear of the rat as it was associated with the loud noise and not only feared rats but all animals which were similar in appearance which is generalisation.
- Conclusion: Classical conditioning can be used to create phobias in humans. 
- Evaluate: Strength- The experiment was closely inspected and recorded and demonstrated that classical conditioning can be used to create phobias.Weakness- Serious ethical issues as this could have affected Albert in the future which is psychological harm. 
- Interesting! Albert also associates his fear with all similar  animals based on appearance.
