The villagers had started their day normally until ten o’clock when they had to go to the town square and start the annual lottery. The lottery was held between the Post Office and the Bank, in the middle stood Mr. Summers behind a table that contained a black box on top of it.
Climax
I-i won?!
After a while, Mr. Summers had called every person to grab a slip. None of them had it until Bill Hutchinson went up and grabbed his own slip, he own the lottery. There is a conflict between Bill and Tessie Hutchinson about him not being able to grab a slip from the box at his own pace. Tessie blames his speed for getting the black dot on the slip.
Falling Action
It's not fair!
Let's redo!
It's not fair!!
The complaints that Tessie kept on making made Mr. Summers decide for the family of the Hutchinsons (Tessie, Bill, Bill Jr, Nancy, and little Dave) to redraw from the black box. Whoever got the slip in the family was officially declared the winner of the Village's Lottery.
Resolution
Bank
After the redo, each of their slips of the Hutchinson family was blank except for Tessie's. Tessie ended up winning the lottery.
Tessie starts screaming once more that it wasn’t fair for her but Mr. Summer didn’t give them any more chances. Every villager gathered around the even had picked up some few rocks and started aiming at Tessie while she just screamed and cried.
WAAAAA
Throwing rocks at her was a slow, slow death, but she eventually got hit in the head with a big rock and died. Everyone after that had just followed their day like no other, playing and enjoying things like a typical day.
