I'm really impressed..what you did was rightbutyou mjst firstknow what exactly occurs.What was supposed to happen was a neutralization reaction. It's the reaction between an acid and base that nullifies each other's effect resulting in a change to pH closer to neutral. By putting an alkaline you had to increase the pH to restore your skin to normal.
