- It is the turn of the Wife of Bath's Tale, a woman who had been married five times. Before telling the story, she entertained everyone with details of her previous marriages. After that, she finally started telling.
- I can help you but if my answer is correct, you'll have to do anything I ask, swear you'll do it!
- I swear!
- Once upon a time, there was a young knight of King Arthur's court who loved all the comfort of life. One day, he saw a beautiful lady and he was so attracted by her that he kissed her even if she resisted.
- Sir Knight since i have saved your life, I ask you to marry me!
- What?! Ask for anything else but not that!
- The Queen convinced the King to save the man's life. He had one condition to respect, though. He had to find the answer to a simple question: What is it that women most desire?
- Since you made me choose I will be young, and beatiful, and faithful and good as well!
- The Queen gave him one year and one day to find the answer. The knight travelled all over the country but he always got different answers. One night he found an old woman who offered to help him.
- After a year and a day, the knight returned to the court, ready to give the old woman's answer, which was women want to be in control . Her answer was correct, so the old woman asked him to marry her, in return for her help.
- They got secretly married and the knight went on keeping the distance because he really didn't want to have her as his wife. Of course she noticed his behaviour and got angry. They started quarrelling until she gave the man two choices: to be young and beautiful but unfaithful or old and ugly but faithful. The man, let her made the decision and thank to him she decided to be young, beautiful and faithful.
