DND: Getting Started Steps
Get 4-6 friends together who are creative, imaginative, and like to have fun.
Choose whether you want to play online, in-person, or a combination of both. Its also important to choose a time and frequency that you will be getting together to play.
When you get together, you will want to play about 3-4 hours of play time
You will want to bring the following items:
Dice Set, Notebook, Laptop/Tablet, and Your Imagination!

Alright, lets play! I am going to be the DM of this game or dungeon master. A DM is someone in your group who has experience playing DND and will take ownership over leading the game for the players. They are the main storyteller of the game.
The first thing that I will have my adventurers do is make their character. I suggest new players use dndbeyond.com to create their characters, as it is very user-friendly for beginners.
A character sheet will look something like this when you are done.
