- Battle Of Saratoga General Burgoyne was defeated by a militia and retreated to Saratoga, New York. General Horatio surrounded Burgoyne, and later, he surrendered. This was a huge victory that changed the war because Burgoyne was one of the best generals for the British.

- Valley ForgeValley Forge is a very significant event in history because George Washington's troops had to survive a whole winter in small tents and huts. later they also gained allies from the French. Without the help of the French the continental army couldn't have won the war.

- Treaty Of ParisIn 1783 the war officially over due to the hard hits on Yorktown. The British can go home finally and Washington Resigned from General two weeks after the surrender. They agree to let the colonists move west and agree they are an independent country.
- Battle Of YorktownWashington planned to attack a British southern campaign. In the North the French Fleet and Washington and Rochambeau were marching 200 miles. it was 14,00 American troops versus 8,000 British troops. Soon the British surrender making it clear that the end is near.
