Why are humans so stupid? This isn't the first time the climate has affected life on Earth.
As human, I hate to admit that we are stupid. Let's go back to a time period when the climate is hotter than it is right now.

At the beginning of the Permian period, the Earth's atmosphere had oxygen levels around 23% and carbon dioxide levels at approximately 900 ppm (parts per million). The average surface temperature was about 16 degrees Celsius, with sea levels significantly lower than today.
The Permian period saw the formation of the supercontinent Pangaea, which led to significant climatic changes, including the development of vast desert areas due to the inability of rain clouds to reach inland. This resulted in a dry environment that favoured the reptiles.
Look at those reptiles!

These eruptions are catastrophic! They’re releasing so much CO2 and ash!
The extinction event at the end of the Permian is characterized by a gradual process rather than a sudden catastrophe, lasting over 150,000 years. The initial trigger for the extinction is still debated, but evidence points to a rapid increase in Earth's temperature.
It's getting hotter and hotter nowadays, the urban areas are too polluted.
The Siberian Traps, a large region of volcanic rock in Siberia, are believed to have played a significant role in the extinction. Massive volcanic eruptions released vast amounts of lava, ash, and gases, leading to severe environmental changes.
