  • The main staple of the commoner was bread. They also had fruits, vegetables, lamb and goats.. The main drink was beer made from barley.

  • Our houses were made of mud bricks it may not seem like a very strong materiel to make homes out of but it was.
  • From the old kingdom to the new the people wore white for over 3,000 years.
  • The pharaoh was a double crown of Egypt this is a symbol of the two kingdoms upper Egypt the white crown and lower Egypt the red crown which were united in 3200 b.c.
  • Egypt is a hot, dry dessert. But the Nile river runs right through it.
  • The Nile used to flood every year. The flood water left behind thick soil called silt. The silt was good for growing crops.

  • Whatever he decided was the law. In fact one way to say justice was “What the pharaoh loves” and to say wrong-doing was “what the pharaoh hates”. The pharaoh was considered to be a god.
