Jazz Bashara, in need of money, agreed to sabotage the harvesters of Sanchez Aluminum. She is caught on camera and the harvesters begin to defend themselves via remote control. Meanwhile, the EVA guild comes to arrest her. She has to leave the job unfinished.
"I had to leave the one harvester behind... I knew it was the right decision, but that didn't mean I had to like it. I fled the crime scene." (120).
"'Hey! Why are you f****** with our harvester?'" (113).
Glide: 2
After Jazz's boss gets murdered, she begins to investigate why he wanted her to sabotage this company. This leads her to a hotel room, where a Brazilian gang member arrives to kill her too.
"'Tu!'" (156).
"A Latino assassin. And wouldn't you know it, Sanchez Aluminum was owned by Brazilians. I know companies get pissed when you trash their stuff, but murder?" (160).

"I squinted in pain. The air fled from my lungs. I gasped for more-I could expand my chest but nothing came in... The world went black and consciousness slipped away" (285).
Jazz sets out on a mission to rid the lunar colony of the Brazilian Mafia. However, she accidentally leaks chloroform into the air, endangering the lives of the whole city. She must stop the crisis, even at the cost of her own safety.
"'They passed out instantly. That means the concentration is at least fifteen thousand parts per million. At that concentration they'll all be dead in an hour'" (264).
