That’s such a 'Secular' way to eat, Leo. You’re totally separating the physical food from any spiritual gratitude or 'barakah'.
Check out these fries, Sara. Pure science. Just potatoes, oil, and salt. There’s no deeper meaning to them. We eat them, we get energy, that’s it.

But don't you see? When you say the food has no spiritual meaning, you start doing that to everything else too like politics and education. You end up pushing religion into a tiny corner of your life.
Because in the 'modern' world, we've liberated nature from all those religious interpretations. It’s called Disenchantment of Nature. We can just enjoy or exploit things for our own use without worrying about spiritual rules.

The problem is, when we stop seeing 'sacred' values in the world, our morality starts to decay because nothing is seen as 'pure' anymore. It’s just us making up our own rules as we go.
Exactly. I keep my religion for my private time, but here at the cafe, it's just me and my fries. No God involved in the middle of my snack.
