- Hello viewer, my name is Donatello Agosti, I am a baker in Calgary, Alberta. for those who don't know what a baker is, it is a type of chef (Red Seal Trade) that makes delicious food made out of flour and uses an oven to transform it to the final product, lots of topping or accessories can be added to the pastry as well.
- You typically need an employee to train you for a bit in a fast food bakery but in expensive cuisines where important people eat at, you would be better off having a culinary arts degree like me. baking can sometimes be a competitive art!
- The job of a baker is super important in my opinion and let me tell you why. Do you like sandwiches? I'm gonna assume that you do, you know who makes the bread in your sandwich, bakers, your birthday cake is also made by the art of baking. croissants, cupcakes, tarts and cake pops, all baked foods. so just imagine a world without baked goods, that would be a sad world
- A typical day for me starts by waking up around 3 to 4 AM! I need to get baking early in the morning because I have a lot to make and pastries are usually eaten in the morning. I work around 8 hours a day and earn 17$ per hour.
- Vacation breaks as a baker are very hard to find, every day I have to make lots of pastries and one day without pastries would beat the purpose of a bakery but sometimes employers find time to give bakers a vacation, this is much more easier when you have other people working with you so they can take over for a bit
